British Eventing is the National Governing Body for the sport of eventing in Great Britain. It oversees and regulates over 170 events nationwide each season, serving more than 15,000 members.

Challenge

British Eventing faced several challenges due to outdated software and database systems that struggled to meet the demands of a growing membership base.

Cloud-based software Salesforce was mis-sold as a comprehensive solution but required extensive customisation. This led to cumbersome data synchronisation processes, high monthly costs, and further investment in supplementary technologies.

Additionally, key technical roles were temporarily vacant, leaving British Eventing without the necessary technical leadership to manage its technology stack effectively. This gap impacted membership services and hindered organisational efficiency.

Solution: Consultancy & Software Development

CCQ Tech initiated a small project to gain a thorough understanding of British Eventing’s organisational complexities, technology stack, requirements, and information flow. From there, CCQ assumed multiple technical roles across various technologies, delivering the following:
