Challenge
HBI approached CCQ over a decade ago with a vision to build a market-leading business intelligence platform leveraging its expertise in the financial services sector.
However, they lacked the necessary resources and expertise to complete their core project, especially given the complexity of the work.
The task involved building modules to ingest data points from multiple banking systems and delivering a comprehensive software solution enabling end-to-end data analysis.
Solution
CCQ played an instrumental role in HBI’s early exploration of what was possible as they sought to develop a market-leading business intelligence tool for financial services. We advised on potential development opportunities and best practice approaches.
Our team provided technical expertise and resources for developing a range of plugins that integrate with third-party and proprietary banking systems, as well as for building successive generations of the product. Each plugin ensured reliable data flows into HBI’s business intelligence engine, tailored to its specific point of data origination.
Additionally, HBI benefited from our deep understanding of compliance and security complexities, critical when working in a regulated environment.
Working closely with HBI specialists and product owners, we developed complex algorithmic solutions to provide liquidity calculations, data processing, and aggregation. We also co-created the platform’s technology frameworks to ensure longevity and scalability.
Recognising the importance of usability and adoption, we prioritised understanding end-user needs. This allowed us to design an intuitive front end that enables users to easily derive custom analyses and insights.
In recent years, we have supported HBI in transitioning its product range to web applications while modernising data ingestion processes to align with evolving third-party data storage systems and interfaces.
